On behalf of the Canberra AFTK members, Sensei Ryan of SKIA ACT, Sensei Adam of Kenbukan Goju-ryu, and Sensei Reece Cummings of Matsubayashi-ryu, I would like to invite you all to the first AFTK Seminar of the year on 30-31 March 2019.
The Canberra Seminar will be held using a new format to allow flexibility for attendance and also for travel to and from the venue. Presenters will include instructors from the AFTK ACT Dojo and also guest instructors from other Dojo around Australia. The seminar will deliver an awesome weekend of training, with 5 information-packed seminars delivered in 1.5h sessions with breaks and lunch in between. For full information on seminar content and instructors, and accommodation info, visit the trybooking link below. A summary of the weekend is below:
Sat 30 Mar 11:00am to 4:30pm – Sessions on kata applications (from chinto/gankaku and wanshu/empi), and transitional body movement and footwork.
Sun 31 Mar 9:00am to 12:15pm – Sessions on partner drills for developing fast hands, and movement principles and their application to self-protection and Ippon Kumite.
For this seminar, we're also trying a new online registration format. You can register online at https://www.trybooking.com/464003 - you can pick to attend the full seminar, or nominate certain sessions if you’re unable to attend the whole weekend. We hope that the new format will allow participants to receive maximum value out of the seminar.
