First non-Japanese competitor to win the World Title for Individual Kumite at the SKI World Championships; Japan 1988.

Was selected as Head Coach of the Australian Team for the 2000s World Championship.
Trained with legends including Kanazawa Kancho, Sensei Nowak, Joe Lewis, Bill (Superfoot) Wallace, Richard Norton, Chuck Norris, and Fumio Demura.
